A glorious vintage amethyst pendant, bestowed with a large round amethyst on top, claw set in a round 14ct gold frame with open, scrolling motifs around the sides. The amethyst weighs an impressive 20 carats (approx.) and exhibits a luxurious deep-violet hue and expertly cut facets that glitter beautifully in the light.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep purple/ violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
This wonderful vintage pendant would look beautiful on the end of a gold chain and boasts an eye-catching natural amethyst that has remained intact and in excellent condition.
