Adorned with eighteen delightful charms, this heavy vintage charm bracelet is designed to put a smile on your face. The charms and chunky curb-link bracelet are modelled in high-quality sterling silver, gilded in luxurious 18ct yellow gold and held securely around the wrist by a safety chain and heart padlock clasp, adding a romantic touch to the end.
There are so many quirky charms to discover and some of them have small surprises within! Included are a rocking horse, a spiky hedgehog, an axe, the initials “BK”, a “7” charm, a wedding band and engagement ring with a paste solitaire, an elephant, a railway lamp with a blue glass light, a “B” insignia, an opening happy birthday card with room to add a name engraving within, a wishing well, a fire-fighter helmet that opens to reveal a small axe within, a barrel, a drunk man wearing a top hat and tuxedo dancing around a lamppost, an amusing dusty bin character from the British game show “3-2-1”, a thimble and scissors, a bird cage and a large gold bullion bar with depictions of stars on one side and a classically dressed Greek woman or Goddess on the reverse, surrounded by doves and foliage (hallmarked 1981).
Each charm on this vintage curb bracelet likely has a wonderful story behind it and suggests the original owner had a good sense of humour. It’s a great conversation piece and complete with Sterling lion and Birmingham hallmarks on the back of the padlock, dating to 1979.
