A beautiful antique French lavaliere necklace from the early 1900s featuring a fabulous floral gallery consisting of loops and wreaths of flowers, tied with a bow on top. They’re encrusted with twinkling white and pink pastes with larger pear cut paste droppers dangling in the centre and from the bottom.

Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that has been used since ancient times to simulate the beauty of gemstones. The art of cutting paste takes expert craftsmanship and the highest quality stones are often able to replicate the cut, colour and sparkle of natural gems to near perfection.

The open gallery is crafted in silver and features French silver marks on the back and articulated floral arches that branch out to join the chain. It’s remained in excellent condition and beautifully captures the style and glamour of a time aptly known as the “Beautiful Era”.
