This exquisite antique Victorian amethyst pearl pendant is a delicate testament to the artistry and elegance of the late 19th Century. Crafted in sunny 15ct yellow gold, it features a bezel-set amethyst at its heart, surrounded by an open-work, interlaced gallery adorned with lustrous seed pearls, enhancing the pendant’s feminine grace.

Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is often associated with Saint Valentine, the patron saint of love. Throughout history, its deep purple-violet hue has long been a favourite of royalty and contrasts beautifully with the bright, natural lustre of pearls, together symbolising protection, love and devotion.

This collectable Victorian amethyst pearl pendant is in excellent condition and was likely a cherished piece, worn close to the heart or given as a token of love. It’s complete with its original fitted box, featuring a brown leatherette exterior, cream velvet/ silk interior, with the maker’s insignia printed under the lid, belonging to “Gresham Barber & Co”, a prestigious London-based jeweller known for high-quality craftsmanship and elegant designs.

We recommend you insure for £1,600. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
