This glorious vintage citrine cocktail ring is crowned with a large oval cut citrine at its heart, radiating a warm golden-orange hue and expertly cut facets that glisten beautifully in the sunlight. It weighs approx. 6.5 carats and is claw set high atop a substantial gallery, crafted from a rosy 9ct yellow gold, with intricate open workmanship, depicting a zig-zag pattern around the border, scrolling motifs down the band and graduated love hearts chasing around the sides.
Citrine is considered a stone of the sun and was once believed to bring good fortune and prosperity, earning it the nickname "Merchant's Stone". Its radiant golden light also makes it a stone of summertime, and like a summer’s day, its warmth brings feelings of joy, positivity, and vitality to all in its presence.
This striking vintage citrine cocktail ring was made in Birmingham in 1971 and is fully hallmarked inside the band. Its sunny centrepiece and charming heart motifs make it an ideal gift for a loved one who admires vintage charm and bold statement pieces.
