A fabulous pair of antique Victorian Bohemian garnet drop earrings, showcasing a row of faceted rose-cut Bohemian garnets with a deep crimson-red hue along each slender drop, culminating in a delicate flower-shaped cluster at the bottom. They’re fashioned in a gold composite, known as “Garnet gold” and finished with hook wires on top.
Bohemian garnet jewellery is desired for its abundance of rose cut garnets, also known as pyrope crystals. They were originally sourced in the region of Bohemia, now part of the Czech Republic, and were highly sought after across Europe in the 19th Century, with their crimson-red flame symbolising passion and enduring love.
Dating to the late 19th Century, these fabulous Victorian garnet drop earrings have remained in excellent condition and look fabulous dangling gracefully from each ear. They’d make a beautiful antique gift for a loved one and exude historical charm and elegance.
