An exquisite antique mid-Victorian pendant modelled in 9ct gold with a rotating fob in the centre suspended from two chains. It’s inlaid with a polished green bloodstone seal with speckled red marking which has yet to be engraved.

Fobs were a popular accessory in the 18th and 19th Century and inlaid with an intaglio seal which was often engraved with a signature, sentimental message, or image so that it could be stamped into sealing wax on important documents or even love letters to sweethearts during long periods of separation.

It’s a collectable antique treasure, in excellent condition and complete with clear Chester hallmarks that date it to 1862.
