A wonderful vintage brooch made and signed by French jeweller R. Thenot in the early 20^th Century. The piece depicts a curly-haired Faun child which was a popular mythical creature in European folklore, face to face with a young deer wrapped in Ivy leaves.

It’s fashioned in silver bronze with beautiful, high relief workmanship and intricate detailing across every leaf and curly hair. It’s a great collector’s piece and fitted with a secure pin and trombone clasp.
