An exquisite antique Victorian carved half-hoop ring adorned with five deep-pink cushion cut almandine garnets (approx. 2.3ct total), with eight smaller seed pearls nestled in between.
Garnet is the birthstone of January and has been desired throughout history for its strength and blazing crimson-red or cherry-pink flame that glows beneath its dark exterior. It’s considered a stone of the heart and is symbolic of passion and enduring love.
The piece is crafted in 15ct gold and features scrolled workmanship down the sides and foliate engraving around the entire band. It’s in excellent condition and is complete with Birmingham hallmarks that date the piece to 1873.
