A stylish antique chain made by Mürrle Bennett & Co at the turn of the 20th Century. The silky chain consists of fine silver curb links with larger, open-work links along the length with decorative milgrain detailing. 

Mürrle Bennett & Co was founded by Ernst Mürrle and J.B. Bennett who were based in London from 1884 – 1916. They were celebrated for their stylish Art Nouveau/ Arts and Crafts pieces inspired heavily by European design and worked closely with other renowned designers like Liberty & Co and Theodore Fahrner. 

The chain measures 55 inches in total so it can be worn as one long chain or looped twice around the neck. It’s highly collectable and held securely by a large ring clasp, complete with the maker’s mark.
