Dating to the late 19th century, this classic antique Victorian opal ring is crafted in warm 18ct yellow gold and features an intricately carved half-hoop gallery, set with a graduated rainbow of natural opal cabochons interspersed with twinkling rose-cut diamonds. Each opal displays a vivid play of green, blue and orange that shimmer like a burning celestial fire across the top. Together with the diamonds, they evoke stars scattered across a galaxy, or the ethereal beauty of the aurora borealis against a night sky.

More than a century later, this opal five-stone ring remains in excellent condition and bears faded Birmingham hallmarks within the band, along with the maker’s mark “J.B.” Its slender profile makes it perfect for stacking and would make a meaningful gift, with the five fiery opals symbolising the full spectrum of emotion - or the five pillars of a strong relationship: Love, Trust, Commitment, Respect and Communication.
