A charming vintage owl ring, made in London in 1972. The large owl is depicted perched on a tree branch and is engraved with fine, feathered detailing on both sides, with two bright green emerald eyes on top (approx. 0.07ct each).
Emerald is the birthstone of May. The Romans considered it to be the sacred stone of the goddess Venus and it was said to preserve love and provide hope. Its natural green colouring also makes it a stone of springtime and is often associated with eternal love and faithfulness.
This wonderful owl ring is modelled in 9ct yellow gold throughout and sits flat against the finger, with hallmarks and the maker’s mark (JHL) within the band. It’s a great statement piece and perfect for anyone who adores these majestic birds.
