An ornate pair of Etruscan revival hoop earrings made by Italian jeweller “Unoaerre” in the late 20th Century. The pair are fashioned in 9ct gold with jagged Etruscan inspired metalwork and gold beading around the border.
Etruscan style pieces saw a revival in the 19th and 20th Century after ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome, beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same grand and elaborate fashion.
They’re a spectacular pair and fitted with lever back hooks, complete with the maker’s mark and later Sheffield import hallmarks dating to 1992.
