A sweet pair of antique Victorian drop earrings built around two glowing cabochon amethysts with a bold violet hue and smooth, jellylike appearance. They weigh approx. 5ct each and are set in ornate 18ct gold claw frames with an open back, allowing the light to pass through and illuminate the stones.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
They’re very pretty, showcasing two gorgeous amethysts dangling from long hook wires.
