A fabulous antique Scottish bracelet from the mid Victorian era made up of elaborate silver panels, engraved with scrolling patterns and inlaid with colourful, natural agates.
Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid- 1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain.
It’s held securely by a box clasp and silver padlock, topped with a domed bloodstone which was often a symbol of love and commitment. It’s highly unique and has remained in excellent condition.
