This chunky Edwardian Albert chain necklace consists of fancy, scalloped links, including large interlocking bars, ornately detailed with star engraving and pierced motifs down the sides. Each component is crafted in sterling silver and has been finished with a fresh layer of 18ct yellow gold gilding to bestow it with a warm, sunny glow.
Originally worn as an Edwardian gentleman’s watch chain, it has been thoughtfully transformed over time with new ring-link extensions at each end to create a luxurious 15-inch choker necklace. The original dog clip and T-bar, both stamped with a “Standard” quality mark, have also been cleverly repurposed as the clasp and a distinctive pendant drop.
This substantial Albert chain is a timeless design and makes a wonderful statement necklace. Durable yet lightweight, it can be worn on its own as a grand choker or layered with other gold chains for a bold, contemporary look.
