This exquisite antique Albert chain was crafted in Birmingham at the dawn of the Roaring Twenties in 1919 by the esteemed silversmith William Walter Cashmore. The piece is made from solid sterling silver and finished in radiant 18ct yellow gold vermeil. It features graduating curb links, each stamped with a British lion passant and retains its original T-bar and dog clips, complete with hallmarks, with a captivating double-sided rotating spinner fob suspended at the end.

This chain was originally designed to drape across the waistcoat of a well-dressed gentleman, while the spinner fob served as both a functional and stylish accessory. The ingenious rotating design reveals two striking hardstones set within an arched chain-link motif. One side displays a fiery rust-red carnelian, long associated with courage and leadership, while a simple flick reveals the speckled green and red bloodstone, symbolising strength and protection.

This century-old treasure is the perfect choice for a collector seeking a genuine antique watch chain, but its 15-inch length also allows it to be worn as a distinctive collarbone choker necklace as well. Styled with the T-bar and spinner fob at the front, it becomes a striking focal point, equally stunning worn alone or layered with other gold chains.
