A beautiful antique Edwardian bar brooch boasting a spellbinding natural opal cabochon set in a milgrain bezel setting. It weighs approx. 3.5ct and displays a vibrant rainbow of colours. 

Opals have been valued throughout history as a magical, protective talisman of great power and it’s easy to see why. Ethereal greens, pinks and blues flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis and are illuminated by a burning orange sun set from behind.  

The slender bar is all 15ct gold and fitted with a strong pin at the back. It’s very eye catching and would look fabulous pinned to a lapel.
