An exquisite antique late Georgian cluster ring beautifully preserved from the early 1800s. The face depicts a forget me not dotted with blue turquoise and cream pearls with a small hidden locket on the reverse perfect for a small photograph or lock of hair.
Turquoise is considered a stone of good fortune and has long been associated with the forget me not due to the stones matching sky-blue colouring. It was symbolic of undying love and remembrance, making it a popular gift for lovers during long periods of separation.
The band is all 18ct gold with finely detailed foliate motifs running down each shoulder. It’s in excellent condition with a sweet sentiment attached.
