A grand antique Scottish bracelet from the mid Victorian era featuring a beautiful open face decorated with colourful agates and engraved patterning.
Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid- 1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain.
The links are articulated with further agates around the circumference and lead to a large box clasp with safety chain at the back.
It’s fashioned entirely in silver which has developed a lovely smooth feel to it. A fine example of Scottish jewellery and in excellent condition.
