Step back into the golden age of late 19th-century elegance with this grand antique Victorian Albert chain, composed of substantial sterling silver trombone links, richly gilded in sunny 18ct yellow gold. The piece was assayed in Birmingham in 1896, with each link bearing the prestigious lion passant hallmark, alongside the initials of esteemed maker George Edward Gee, found on the original T-bar and remaining dog clip.

Named after Prince Albert, these chains were traditionally worn by gentlemen to secure a pocket watch. Over time, pieces like this have been beautifully reimagined as statement necklaces, a transformation started during WWI when women wore them as sentimental keepsakes. Measuring 16.5 inches, it sits elegantly along the collarbone, perfect for layering or wearing alone as a bold, characterful piece steeped in history.
