This fabulous antique Victorian pearl amethyst bracelet features an alternating pattern of large, natural amethysts and baroque pearls, exhibiting contrasting hues of deep lavender and lustrous cream. Each distinctly shaped stone has been caged within an 18ct yellow gold wire frame, with connecting links in-between, leading to a safety chain and new 9ct gold ring clasp at the end.
Unlike their perfectly spherical counterparts, Baroque pearls have a unique, unconventional beauty, with a rugged texture and irregular shape that sets them apart from the rest. Their bright, creamy lustre is often paired with the deep purple hue of amethysts, a contrast that represents romance, loyalty, and protection.
This striking Victorian amethyst pearl bracelet dates to the late 19th Century and has remained in great condition. It’s creatively designed, with a wonderful pattern of alternating gems and is sure to become a favourite in your jewellery box.
