An elegant pair of antique Victorian drop earrings from the late 19th Century built around two deep, purple amethyst droppers weighing approx. 4ct each. They’re claw set in ornate 18ct gold frames with white seed pearls dotted on top.

Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels. 

They’re a beautiful, regal pair and fitted with new hook wires at the back with a golden flower at the front.
