Dating to the late 19th Century, this angelic antique Art Nouveau aquamarine pearl pendant/ brooch is a fine example of Victorian craftsmanship. Fashioned in 15ct yellow gold, the meticulously crafted open-work gallery consists of entwined, scrolling motifs, edged with milgrain and is further decorated with an array of natural seed pearls and six sea-blue aquamarines, with one dangling from a dropper at the end.
Aquamarine and Pearls are both considered treasures of the ocean and together symbolise purity, wisdom, and tranquillity. Their soft white and blue colouring complement each other beautifully and paired with a warm gold base, they evoke the calm and serenity of the sky and ocean, or a beach speckled with white shells.
Wear it on the end of a chain as a fabulous statement pendant or use the pin at the back to fasten it to your bag, lapel or scarf. However, you wear it, it’s sure to be admired by all who look upon it and is destined to become a favourite in your jewellery collection!
