An exquisite antique Victorian brooch fashioned in silver with high relief images of Ivy leaves, a Forget me not, a horseshoe and a Triskelion, all highlighted in rose and yellow gold.
Each image is full of symbolism. Ivy leaves and forget me nots represent love and faithfulness, a horseshoe is for luck and the Triskelion is an ancient symbol made up of three armoured legs and has long been associated with the Isle of Man and proudly adorns their flag.
It’s a wonderful piece of history and very collectable. There is some wear and tiny solder spots on the reverse and a small part of one of the Triskelion’s legs is missing but otherwise, it’s in good condition for its age.
