A gorgeous antique Victorian jade heart pendant, exhibiting a large natural jadeite heart, held under an ornate yellow gold gallery with engraved leaf motifs wrapping around the top. It’s polished and smooth with a muted green tone and faint transparency, allowing the stone’s natural grain to show through. It’s accompanied by an E.D.R gem certification, verifying the stone is a natural jadeite with some colour enhancement.
A stone of legend and mysticism, Jade has been prized throughout history for its striking colour and glossy surface. It was particularly revered in East Asia and named “The stone of Heaven” as it was believed to bring good fortune, and long life to those who possessed it.
The top of the pendant is fashioned in 22ct yellow gold and has been fitted with a new 18ct loop on top. It’s in excellent condition all round and would make the perfect antique gift for that special someone
