A fabulous pair of antique Victorian drop earrings featuring two rows of twinkling clear paste stones leading down to a flower dropper at the bottom decorated with electric blue paste petals.
Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that has been used since ancient times to simulate the beauty of gemstones. The art of cutting paste takes expert craftsmanship and the highest quality stones are often able to replicate the cut, colour and sparkle of natural gems to near perfection.
The pair is fashioned in silver with milgrain edging and topped with yellow gold hooks. They’re very pretty and look wonderful dangling from each ear.
