A beautiful pair of antique Victorian drop earrings from the late 19th Century consisting of 15ct gold flowers, swallows and large, white pearl drops suspended from the bottom.
Swallows are known to mate for life and said to always return home to the nest, making them a powerful symbol of everlasting love, joy and faithfulness. They were especially popular in the Victorian era and gifted as romantic tokens by lovers during long periods of separation.
