This enchanting antique Victorian brooch has been crafted around a heart carved from Saphiret, a wondrous and mysterious gemstone created from a fusion of sapphire-coloured glass and gold.
The stone’s surface appears chocolate brown, but when light catches it a brilliant blue iridescence plays through the stone in a manner similar to a natural Opal.
This piece has been crafted in a golden base metal, with bright paste stones laced around the central heart to complement its otherworldly glow.
This is a truly remarkable piece, and a great talking point.
