This beautiful antique Scottish horseshoe brooch was made during the mid-Victorian era (Circa 1860). It’s modelled in silver and inlaid with Aberdeen Granite pieces which have distinct patterning and a lovely, earthy pink and grey colouring.
The Horseshoe has long been a symbol of good luck and became a popular image in Victorian jewellery when there was an increase in superstition.
It’s remained in excellent condition and is a great collector’s piece.
