A magnificent Antique Scottish brooch from the mid Victorian era (Circa 1860). The large, domed design is all Silver with a detailed foliate engraved border and six pieces of beautiful Montrose Agate inlaid around the central hole.
Montrose Agates are found along the east coast of Scotland and are favoured for their greyish-blue colouring and natural bands that are unique to this form of Agate.
The brooch is in pristine condition and complete with a strong pin and safety chain for added security when worn.
