A marvellous 1960s cocktail ring featuring a domed, boule gallery encrusted with natural opal cabochons that shimmer and change colour in the light like a rainbow of incandescent bubbles (approx. 4ct total).
Opal is the birthstone of October. Their magic has been revered throughout history, desired for their enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis, with a burning orange sunset glowing behind.
It’s a magnificent statement piece, displaying a spellbinding collection of opals set in a 9ct gold gallery with split shoulders at the side and London hallmarks within the band, dating it to 1966.
