An exquisite antique Scottish brooch from the mid Victorian era featuring eight polished agates displaying a rainbow of earthy colours and natural patterning.
Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid- 1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain.
The gallery is all solid silver with a distinctive scalloped frame. It’s a wonderful antique treasure and a great collector’s piece.
