Crafted in 9ct gold back and front, the smooth outer shell is detailed with chased ivy engraving across the front and exhibits a pleasing rosy patina on both sides that only time can bestow.
Ivy was a romantic jewellery motif in the 19th Century, representing a strong, loving bond between two people that couldn’t easily be broken, as in the Victorian rhyme; “Close clings the ivy to the tree, so in my heart I cling to thee”.
