An exquisite pair of antique Victorian creole drop earrings featuring two 15ct gold hoops, finely engraved with foliate patterning, and two flat-cut garnets, a combination of oval and cushion cuts, set in rope-edge bezel mounts. They weigh approx. 1.5ct each and have a luxurious cherry-pink hue.
Garnet is the birthstone of January and has been desired throughout history for its strength and blazing crimson-red or cherry-pink flame that glows beneath its dark exterior. It’s considered a stone of the heart and is symbolic of passion and enduring love.
They’re a fabulous Victorian pair, dating to the late 19th Century, and dangle beautifully from gold hook wires.
