A sweet antique Victorian opal shamrock pendant, fashioned in 15ct gold. The piece is made up of three heart-shaped cabochon opals and a twinkling old mine cut diamonds in the centre. The opals weigh approx. 0.70 and 2ct and show a magical rainbow of colours that change with the light.

Shamrocks have long been associated with luck and good fortune and each leaf is said to represent faith, hope and love. They were also a symbol of Ireland and Saint Patrick who used the image to illustrate the Holy Trinity, one leaf for the Father, one for the Son and one for the Holy Spirit.

This Victorian pendant dates to the late 19th Century and is in excellent condition. It would make a perfect antique gift for a loved one, showcasing three enchanting natural opals.
