An elegant antique Art Nouveau pendant/ brooch from the early 20th Century decorated with bright, seed pearls and two, icy blue aquamarines, weighing approx. 0.60 & 0.70ct in the centre.
Aquamarine and pearls are considered treasures of the ocean and were a popular combination, with their soft white and blue colouring complementing each other perfectly, evoking the calm and serenity of the sky and ocean.
The gallery has a beautiful, open-work design with delicate, scrolling metalwork and floral motifs fashioned expertly in 15ct gold. It would look gorgeous on the end of a gold chain and is fitted with a pin at the back so it can also be worn as a brooch.
