A regal antique Georgian cluster ring adorned with a deep violet cushion cut amethyst collet set in the centre (approx. 1.5ct), complemented by a frame of bright natural pearls around the border.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
The piece is all 18ct gold and features a closed-back gallery, edged with milgrain with gold beaded shoulders and a grooved band at the back. It dates to the early 19th Century and has remained in pristine condition.
