A fine antique Etruscan revival ring from the mid-Victorian era (Circa 1860) featuring a domed 9ct gold gallery encrusted with turquoise in the centre and a diamond star twinkling on top. It’s further decorated with rope borders and coils with six additional turquoise dotted around the edge.
Etruscan revival pieces were crafted in the late 1800s after ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome, beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same grand and elaborate fashion.
The piece is crafted entirely in 9ct gold with a closed back and beautiful ornate workmanship across the front. A wonderful antique statement piece that has been beautifully preserved over the centuries.
