An enchanting antique Victorian moonstone garland necklace from the late 19th Century, adorned with three long droppers, set with fourteen cabochon moonstones, with an ethereal silver-blue light that glows like moonlight from within. The settings and links are all 18ct gold, with a 9ct gold chain and metal ring clasp added over time.
The mystifying moonstone derives its name from the stone’s ethereal, luminescent light that was once believed to be moonlight in solid form. In Greek mythology they were associated with Selene, the feminine moon Goddess and said to be a path to love, wisdom and new beginnings.
