A sweet antique Victorian sapphire diamond cluster ring, modelled in 18ct yellow gold. A deep royal-blue cushion cut sapphire is claw set in the centre (approx. 0.60ct) and is complemented by a halo of ten twinkling old mine cut diamonds around the outside (approx. 0.40ct total).
Sapphire is the birthstone of September. The blue variety is considered a stone of truth, wisdom and protection and has long been a favourite of kings and royalty, adored for its royal blue colouring which was considered a reflection of the sky and the heavens, making it divine.
This Victorian ring is in excellent condition and dates to the late 19th Century. It would make a gorgeous antique engagement ring, with a beautiful natural sapphire at its heart.
