A beautiful antique Victorian turquoise pearl heart bangle, modelled in a rosy 9ct gold. The central heart is lined with an alternating pattern of blue turquoise and white seed pearls and joins a double gold band, with graduated pommels chasing down each shoulder.
Turquoise is considered a stone of good fortune and was heavily associated with the Forget-me-not in the Victorian era due to the stones matching sky-blue colouring. It was given as a token of eternal love and was often matched with pearls, which symbolised loyalty.
This charming Victorian heart bangle dates to the late 19th Century and has remained in pristine condition. It’s a wonderful symbol of everlasting love and is held securely by a box clasp and safety chain at the side.
