A wonderful antique Victorian bracelet consisting of 9ct gold cable links with three large amethysts and two baroque pearls along the length leading to a fourth amethyst dropper dangling from the clasp.
The amethysts have a deep purple hue and some transparency so you can see the stones natural veins beneath the surface. They’re complemented beautifully by the creamy-white baroque pearls which have a distinct, none-spherical shape and lots of character.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
It’s a fabulous antique bracelet, dating to the late 19th Century and is held securely around the wrist by a ring clasp.
We recommend you insure for £1,600. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
