A striking Art Deco cocktail ring from the 1920s crowned with a gleaming white baroque pearl set in the centre of a large jet-black onyx face with a faceted border. The stark contrast creates the wonderful illusion that the pearl is hovering in the centre of a black void, like the moon glowing in the night sky.
Pearls are the birthstone of June and a true treasure of the ocean, produced organically by fresh and saltwater molluscs. Their spherical shape and exceptional lustre have long been associated with the beauty of the moon and are symbolic of purity, serenity, and loyalty.
The back and band are modelled in 14ct gold with engraved shoulder panels at each side. It’s an imposing statement piece and is sure to make an impression.
