A glitzy antique Art Deco riviere necklace from the 1920s adorned with twenty-three clear paste stones, cut to replicate the sparkle of 3ct diamonds.
Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that has been used since ancient times to simulate the beauty of gemstones. The art of cutting paste takes expert craftsmanship and the highest quality stones are often able to replicate the cut, colour and sparkle of natural gems to near perfection.
The paperclip links and settings are fashioned in silver, and all held by a ring clasp at the end. It’s in excellent condition and would be perfect for a glamorous evening do.
