A beautiful antique Edwardian curb bracelet consisting of 9ct gold curb links with every second link engraved with ornate patterning. It’s held by a safety chain and heart padlock clasp chased with intricate, foliate motifs.
Heart padlocks were often gifted to a loved one during a long period of separation. It was a symbol of the couple’s strong love and commitment to one another, reminding the recipient that they may be gone, but their heart will always be with them.
It’s been loved and cherished across the centuries and is complete with the maker’s mark and Birmingham hallmarks on the back of the heart, dating to 1902.
