A grand antique Edwardian signet ring built around a large oval cut garnet weighing approx. 3ct. It has a luxurious red wine hue and is held securely by a series of claws that lead into a robust 18ct gold band with deep grooves carved into the shoulders.
Garnet is the birthstone of January. It derives its name from the Latin word for “Seed” due to the stone’s striking similarities to a pomegranate seed. It’s desired for its blazing red flame that glows beneath its dark surface and is considered a stone of passion and enduring love.
It’s a regal statement piece and complete with clear Chester hallmarks within the band, dating the piece to 1915.
