A fabulous antique Edwardian Suffragette necklace from the early 20th Century featuring a fabulous Art Nouveau style pendant decorated with pink and green pastes and glistening marcasites. It’s fashioned in silver and hangs from two long chains from the loop.
The combination of violet and green gems was often used together to show support for the women’s Suffrage movement in the early 20th Century. A white stone was often present as well and together symbolised the movements key virtues; Violet for Royalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
It’s in excellent condition and accompanied by a silver chain with toggle clasp to display it on.
