A beautiful antique Edwardian turquoise pearl carved half hoop ring, made in Birmingham in 1904. The gallery is beautifully engraved with scrolling motifs down the sides and shoulders and elevates three lustrous pearls and two cabochon turquoise, set in an alternating pattern on top.
Turquoise is considered a stone of everlasting love and pearls a stone of loyalty. They were a popular combination in the Victorian era with their soft colours complementing each other perfectly, evoking the calm and serenity of the sky and ocean.
The piece is modelled in 18ct yellow gold and complete with hallmarks within the band. It’s in excellent condition and displays a soothing combination of gems.
