An exquisite pair of antique Georgian garnet drop earrings, fashioned in 18ct gold. Each earring consists of two flat-cut garnets, one pear, the other round, and all have a deep cherry-pink hue and together total approx. 2.24ct.
Garnet is the birthstone of January and has been desired throughout history for its strength and blazing crimson-red or cherry-pink flame that glows beneath its dark exterior. It’s considered a stone of the heart and is symbolic of passion and enduring love.
They’re a fabulous antique pair, dating to the early 19th Century and both in excellent condition.
